So, I've discovered yet another answer to the age old question "How do you get to Carnegie Hall"? New answer: win tickets from @BigGayIceCream!

I lost 20 years on my Nintendo Wii Fitness Age. How does this happen???

I am seriously questioning the accuracy of this thing. I think it's full of crap. What do you think?

Spring is here FOR REAL--but not for this tree :( (Pictures from Fort Tryon Park) 20110424 (pics 24-27 of 27)

This used to be a beautiful tree that had these swooping branches you could walk under.  I assume they had a good reason for doing this but it's still sad.  Look how many years that tree had been around!

More beautiful blooms and some other fun flora!

More pics from the park! Check out more flowers, the mast against the clouds, some interesting graffiti on its base, and a sailboat sailing up the Hudson River framed perfectly by the trees.

In typical "us" fashion, rather than celebrate the religious aspects of today, we celebrated the naturalistic aspects of the day by going to the park. (Of course, it got above 70 today so that was the main reason we went out.) Anyway, note in the first pic, the woman in the background walking her dog despite the sign in the foreground asking her not to.

The other photos were taken in the Heather Garden as clouds slowly rolled in.  Supposedly, it's going to rain tonight...

We made it outside! It's gorgeous! Heading over to Fort Tryon for a great view!

Tonight's entertainment: Harry Potter in "How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying"

Everything about this production was amazing, except the show itself.  The music, the acting, the singing (mostly), the costumes, the sets, the lighting, the choreography, are all great. However, the show has such outdated concepts of gender roles and the lead is so much a manipulative asshole (who is rewarded for his shameless lies and omissions with a happy ending and a useless wife who literally fantasizes about "keeping his dinner warm" and "occupying a corner of his mind") that I had the urge to dry-heave.

I always feel bad when shows get left unperformed because they are culturally dated but this is one that should be left to collect dust.  If it weren't for the truly incredible work put into the production and performance I'd have seriously considered walking out.

And Harry Potter can kinda sing and dance. The kid just might have a future.

They have Nads for Men, now?

Img_20110414_233754

I knew *some* of us guys already had them but I know a few Democrats who could benefit from having 'nads. Clearly, the Republicans and Teapartiers have bought in bulk and should now have their's taken away.

Last night's entertainment. (That Championship Season)

It's basically about how a bunch of racist(ish) white men cling to past successes and ignore their own realities for what they think is personal gain.  Great cast, superbly acted, but ultimately told us what anyone with eyes already knows about the average white guy. But I should reiterate: the cast was awesome. Jason Patric was me if I drank alcohol.

So. if it weren't for the amazing cast I'd skip this one. But they make the show worth it.

And hey Kiefer didn't make me hate my country like he's been doing for years now!
