OK, despite the fact that this (imo) is a boring wallpaper, I'm posting it to be part of the "in" crowd. ;) (see the ring leader (PixelFish) of said crowd's desktop here: http://www.utterz.com/~u-NDk4NTE1OA/utt.php)
Basically, it's my current desktop wallpaper which is a 1280x800 chunk of one of the Beowulf posters. It's even got some of the subtitle in there because some stupid marketing diphthong had to be "clever." I mean, come on, dude--with Angelina Jolie's eyes on a poster you really don't need some pithy subtitle, do you?
In fact, while I'm on the topic, I'd like to see all movie marketers to find new careers. I haven't seen a decent movie ad campaign in years. From "Finding Nemo" posters that tell me to "Sea it" to "Beowulf" posters with arguably the hottest woman on the planet on them reminding me about "temptation," I'm thinking they need to find other work and give some folks WITH ACTUAL IDEAS a chance.
Oh yeah--my favorite is the subtitle on the "Lions for Lambs" posters: "If you don't stand for something, you might fall for anything." While that statement is true, it's unbelievably cliche. In fact, the last time I saw it, that saying was in the last big viral email about George W. that I didn't send directly to my spam folder.
OK, I'm done now. ^_^
