Yes, that is a twisted mass of popcorn that looks a bit like something John Carpenter's The Thing left behind.
So, to save a buck TheWife and I picked up a box of the no-name brand of "whole grain" microwave popcorn at our local Target store. This is just PART of what happened when we tried to pop a bag of it. It was not pretty.
Stay away from this stuff folks!
