I've always loved the European use of the phrase "Water Closet." It seems so much more appropriate than "bathroom" or even "restroom." This was taken in Venice, which is a city where it's very easy to get lost. When I was there in June of 2013, these "WC" stickers were everywhere, along with signs. I think tourists get lost, have to urinate and don't want to wait until they find their destination. That's just my guess, though.
