Just posted on my 500px: WC

I've always loved the European use of the phrase "Water Closet." It seems so much more appropriate than "bathroom" or even "restroom." This was taken in Venice, which is a city where it's very easy to get lost. When I was there in June of 2013, these "WC" stickers were everywhere, along with signs. I think tourists get lost, have to urinate and don't want to wait until they find their destination. That's just my guess, though. I just knew I needed to end up with at least one photo of the ubiquitous stickers. http://ift.tt/1mSIqfj

I took this and several other photos of curbsided Christmas trees last week.

I posted this photo on Instagram yesterday, but for some reason IFTTT.com doesn’t like my WordPress credentials. Not sure why this is, though after several hours of troubleshooting, it seems to have something to do with the latest version of WordPress or possibly something else on my server. Hopefully it’s just temporary. In the meantime, I’m posting each photo manually today:

Yep, it seems some New Yorkers leave their trees up until late February. What the heck is up with that? You think they’re still listening to Christmas carols that late, too?

Pugs not Drugs

I shot this in Piazza San Marco in June 2013. I usually try to avoiding shooting people, but there were so many around and that one guy’s shirt cracks me up. Oh yeah and don’t miss noting the bird. :) Also, of note is that the sun was setting behind the walls of the piazza so this is just a few minutes before twilight kicked in.
