OK, so maybe you haven't seen an abandoned hotel before. Well, look at this:

Now you definitely have. This is a hotel complex in China, San Chih, just north of Taipei, to be exact. It was never finished because someone decided it would be too expensive for people to pay to stay there. I stumbled upon the above pic at Tranism.com in [http://www.tranism.com/weblog/archives/2006/07/the_abandoned_c.html|this post]. In the comments people who know more about it than the original poster or me chimed in and explained the deal.
