Shea Gunther is a guy who is building a completely standalone house in Maine--standalone, as in, it's completely self-sustaining. Won't need anything from the outside world. Though, I wonder how he'll do Internet. For now the dude is living in a couple of teepees (which he says is spelled "tipis") and I don't know how his wife is putting up with him (though his daughters think he's cool, I bet!).
