May 14, 2010The amount of oil spilling into the Gulf of Mexico may be at least 10 times the size of official estimates, according to an exclusive analysis conducted for NPR.
At NPR's request, experts examined video that BP released Wednesday. Their findings suggest the BP spill is already far larger than the 1989 Exxon Valdez accident in Alaska, which spilled at least 250,000 barrels of oil.
Apparently, we're STILL being lied to and this is being under-reported by most of the media, it would seem. I get the front page of the NYTimes every day in my inbox and they only reported that the spill is probably 4 or 5 times larger than originally thought. NPR's saying it could be twice the larger estimate. In this week's 666cast I rant about our leaders in politics and business being incompetent. Here's another great example of their moronic behavior. I wonder if NPR can email their top stories to my inbox :)
