Seriously, it was impressive to not get adverts beaten into our heads before the trailers started. Sure, every single trailer made the movies they were advertising look rock stupid, but before that, we didn't feel insulted or oppressed at all--it was a really nice experience waiting for the movie to start.
So, that was really nice. The lack of pre-show advertising and the insanely cheap ticket price just might get us out of bed early for more pre-noon movie screenings.
Oh and "Iron Man 2" was pretty fun, also. Not sure what some critics didn't like about it. I thoroughly enjoyed it, though I did reeeeally miss Terrence Howard. Don Cheadle's a great actor, but Howard was *perfect* casting for Jim Rhodes--PERFECT casting... Ah well...
