This is pretty much why I cashed out my IRA--the stock market pretends to be zero-point energy, but isn't...

So, if the stock market isn't really zero-point energy (ie money from nothing) what is it? Well, here's a nice quote that covers it, but in a nutshell, the stock market, along with much of the world of money, is just a shell game that concentrates wealth. But please read on--Korten says it better.

"As Wall Street has so dramatically demonstrated, the world of money is a world of illusions, accounting tricks, and scams by which the rich expand their control of Earth’s declining base of real living wealth without the burden of producing anything of value in return. We must turn our attention to defining problems and solutions in terms of the goal of restoring and equitably stewarding Earth’s real living wealth."

Money IS a shell game, kids. The sooner we realize this, the sooner we can live our lives in a more healthy way--by putting our priorities so that happiness, love, family and real experiences are put above the pursuit of money.

I'm not saying money isn't important, obviously, it is--but if we keep giving in and letting these two-bit magicians continue to play games with our economy, what little money we have will be worth even less.

*Every day the money in your bank account holds a little less value* thanks to our current economic system.
