Hell, with 12 million illegals in America I'm sure we all know SOMEone who is from another country.... So, today, the Senate passed a law that will make it legal for the USG to indefinitely detain any non-American-born person without having them give them their right of habeas corpus, which is their right to challenge the evidence against them. Habeas corpus is Latin for "bring the body," and I assume the "body" is the body of evidence against you. In short, HC promises the right to contest your imprisonment. It's what keeps a president from being a king--you know, the right to challenge him in a court of law. This is important, in case, you know, the authorities make a mistake. Of course, that never happens with the Bush admin, does it? So, if you have any friends who are immigrants, I'd strongly suggest you strongly suggest to them that they keep their mouths shut about the Bush admin and for God's sake, don't donate to any Muslim groups or, hell, even TALK to a Muslim because that could get them detained forever. I'm not making this up. It's for real. Do the research yourself. Our only hope is that the Supreme Court will strike down the law as unConstitutional. Too bad for us most of the SCotUS was appointed by Bush or Reagan.
